BEST DIGITAL DESIGNER


SUPPORTING STATEMENT

Judges are looking for brilliant design and ease of navigation created by a person whose designs can’t be replicated in print and has produced a wealth of work that demonstrates innovation and creative vision. The submission should also discuss what impact the designer’s work has made to the success of the brand.

Please submit a supporting statement of no more than 300 words. Please include a word count.

REQUIREMENTS

Please note that the most senior member of the Art Team (Art Director / Creative Director) should complete this entry form on behalf of their team, but may not be listed as an entrant. Instead they should enter the Art Director of the Year category of the main BSME Awards.

Digital editors (or editors, for apps) should send links to three separate pieces of online work and enclose a hard copy screen grab of each one on behalf of the designer being put forward for this award.  Should you wish to enter more than one person for this category a separate entry must be submitted for each person.

They must have been published during the period 1 January to 31 December 2016.

Please note – the title’s editor should ratify each entry.

The judges will be looking for:

·         Quality of design and navigation

·         Innovation

·         Creative vision

·         Relevance to audience

Please complete the form below and send it with the statement, pieces of work and payment to the BSME Office. Please send the completed entry form as a word document and include any digital links so they can be easily viewed. The supporting statement and material should be sent as one complete PDF either on a disc or USB stick, with a print-out on A4 paper. Please keep a copy for your records.

Either pay for the entry online (click here) or send a cheque made payable to the BSME with your entry. The entry fee is £95.00 for BSME members and £118.00 for Non-BSME members (to qualify for the BSME rate the digital editor must have been a member of the BSME during the period 1 January to 31 December 2016. If you had temporary membership from entering the main BSME 2016 Awards you must pay the non-member rate).

A VAT receipt will be sent out in due course.

  • Entries will be accepted only between 10.00am and 4.00pm, Monday to Friday
  • Incomplete entries will not be processed
  • Entries received without payment will not be processed
  • Entries and supporting material will not be returned
