Judges will be looking for examples of work that clearly demonstrate a unique vision.  This could be an exclusive shoot or a single picture that brings content to life.  The creative use of resources is vital, and judges welcome entries from individuals who have created images with limited resources. 

Picture editors, researchers and designers are eligible to enter this category, providing they have researched or created the image/s themselves.

Please submit a supporting statement of no more than 300 words. Please include a word count.


Line managers should submit one piece of work on behalf of their picture editor /researcher.

The work must have been published during the period 1 January to 31 December 2016.

Please note – the magazine editor should ratify each entry.

The judges will be looking for:

·         Originality

·         Creativity

·         Best use of budget / resources

·         Relevance to audience

Please complete the form below and send it with the statement, pieces of work and payment to the BSME Office. Please send the completed entry form as a word document and include any digital links so they can be easily viewed. The supporting statement and material should be sent as one complete PDF either on a disc or USB stick, with a print-out on A4 paper. Please keep a copy for your records.

Either pay for the entry online (click here) or send a cheque made payable to the BSME with your entry. The entry fee is £95.00 for BSME members and £118.00 for Non-BSME members (to qualify for the BSME rate the line manager must have been a member of the BSME during the period 1 January to 31 December 2016. If you had temporary membership from entering the main BSME 2016 Awards you must pay the non-member rate).

A VAT receipt will be sent out in due course.
