The winners for the BSME Awards 2021 were announced last night in the BSME virtual Awards ceremony filmed by David Cotter at the Pan Pacific London. Huge congratulations to everyone on the shortlist, and particularly our winners, and highly commended. You can watch the event and see a full list of the winners on the link below.
The event was hosted by BSME chair Hattie Brett and Laura Whitmore, with the guest presenters made up of the entire BSME committee, including the incoming chair, Tim Pollard.
The annual Awards are the biggest BSME event of the year, celebrating a year of triumph and editorial excellence across digital and print publications.

Hattie Brett, BSME chair 2021 and editor of Grazia, said: "Winning a BSME award is up there on every editor’s wishlist. So I’m thrilled to be able to have a ceremony of sorts to recognise the incredible talent we have in our industry. Whilst we may not have been able to be together in person, it feels more important than ever to celebrate the creative, innovative, and incredible work we saw in 2021.

But watching the amazing ways your magazine brands evolved over what was another tough, tough year has been the definition of inspirational. We’ve seen groundbreaking covers that will forever tell a story of this time. And digital innovations that have enabled magazine brands to reach their audiences in new ways. And you’ve done most of it from your kitchen tables - again.
"So tonight, was about every single one of you – all of the editors, across digital and print, the art directors and columnists who worked so hard and made 2021 a year we very much shouldn’t forget.”
